America’s smartest, dumb ass, gen X’ers are back to put Millennials and Gen Z’s in their proper place. Mike Judge has returned to B&B and is currently making a film. Not only that, but the show itself is set to make a return as well.
The announcement came earlier this week as Beavis and Butthead confusingly work their way through a Zoom meeting. Mike Judge’s brilliant satire instantly shines through in the short clip. With Butthead pointing out that Beavis says ‘mount’ when saying Paramount. Things seem to be pretty much the same. Same couch, same vocal cadence that made them pop culture icons. Sometimes it’s better for things not to change. As evidenced by Beavis and Butthead’s previous return to television roughly ten years ago. In fact, that season in some ways is the best one. So hopefully we’ll keep getting the same quality from Mike Judge. Would we expect anything less?
The last time Beavis and Butthead invaded out movie world was 25 years ago in 1996. The surprise hit ‘Beavis and Butthead Do America’ was purely hilarious. And actually really smart in its developing plot line. I expect the same amount of writing strength in the upcoming movie and television season. Many characters on the show have come and gone. But I do have one request. The head of National Security has to make a return to the new film. And may he never end his sentences in prepositions. The film is set to be released on Paramount Plus.
It’s about time. I hope they don’t end up ruining it for the snowflake generation.
