Bill & Ted: Face The Music Reveals Trailer and New Poster

The energy around the new Bill and Ted film has been buzzing. And now that the energy is being fueled even more. With a new trailer and poster for the film that’s set to be released on August 21st. The question, of course, is will the theaters be ready to be opened by then? And if they are, will they be able to draw a worthy sized crowd for the movie; despite social distancing? Time will tell. But for now, the picture is right on track.

The story takes off on the appropriate timeline. Bill and Ted have clearly not fulfilled their destiny as the end credits of ‘Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey’ suggested. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back in their characters. And they are stuck playing taco Tuesday in Barstow, California. If you’ve never been there, Google maps it. It’s a hilarious place for the guys to start. The trailer overall is pretty cryptic. It doesn’t reveal too much. It shows just the perfect amount to gain interest. Including a hilarious looking prison scene that acknowledges the dark and heavy tone that metal took after 1991. The year of the second release. Our hero’s are fallen, and they have to pick themselves back up. It’s a classic trope, but with a modern, yet retro twist. Except this time their going to the future. It looks the third movie is going the be excellent; no pun intended. Complete with Steve Vai returning for his air guitar fills.

Personally I’m stoked for the third installment. It’s been fifteen years in the making. If there’s ever a time when we need Bill and Ted, it’s now. The overall theme of the films is something that everyone could and should abide by: ‘Be excellent to each other. And party on dudes!’ What better time than now to hear that?
