The alternative metal world is loosing its collective head. The three big bands of the genre: System Of A Down, Korn and Faith No More, all teased Instagram images, captioned ‘Monday,’ that indicate a possible tour may be in the works.
This is massive news, particularly for Faith No More and System Of A Down fans. The latter have been dealing with internal band issues for the past year or so. And Faith No More announced their reunion last year, but only have three festival shows set up. Korn, of course, have been keeping active releasing new material and constantly touring. Faith No More have also teased the possibility of a new album.
If this is indeed a three way tour, I would imagine the line up as follows. Opening band, special guest group, Faith No More and then System and Korn might switch between headlining every other show. Of course, Faith No More should probably be headlining. Seeing as how they basically are the reason for any alternative metal bands existence. But the big deal show will most likely be System. The last few years for them looked like it might be the end for them. But we’ll have to wait until Monday to find out what’s really going on. For now, we can only speculate.
With these three acts touring together, it’s sure to be one hell of a night, hopefully. This and the Poison, Motley Crue and Def Leppard tour might shape up to be the top two grossing tours of the year. Rock on!!
