Over the years the Red Hot Chili Peppers have morphed into the bland, soft, Luke Warm Chili Peppers. Believe it or not, there was a time when these guys were so red hot that Homer Simpson would double his pepper trip if he were to ingest one of their homegrown chili’s. Now, the funk spice is numbed with bland pop indie rock. Every time a new Chili Peppers song comes out there are us o.g. fans that are hoping for a return to the Blood Sugar Sex Magic days. Every time we are disappointed and the new single ‘Dark Necessities’ confirms that trend. It doesn’t look like these guys will be slaying freaky styley funk for the uplift mofo party plan anytime soon. That’s a major let down to the fans who have been with the band since the beginning. Instead of appeasing to those fans, they want high schoolers to buy their albums. LAME!!! It’s almost as if they’ve become parodies of themselves. They could be just as successful and arguably more legendary if they would just stick to their original sound.
