Motley Crue Break Record For Fastest Sell Out Stadium

Motley Crue are back at it again, setting records and taking names. The band, after tickets went on sale yesterday for their upcoming stadium tour, set a record in Milwaukee for fastest sold out stadium.

To give you an idea of the mass amount of tickets sold, the stadium, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, holds just over 41,000 people for a concert. That’s basically the population of many towns across the country. Selling out in less than a day. It’s reminiscent of KISS’ Tiger Stadium sell out in Detroit in 1996. KISS has always claimed that show, the first in their reunion tour, sold out in 45 min. I’ve always been dubious of that. Motley Crue on the other hand, seem to have really set a record.

Not only that, but Motley Crue were among 2019’s top ten trending artists on Google this year. Thanks large in part to the success of their bio pic ‘The Dirt.’ Which is also fueling the Crue’s comeback. Of course, adding Def Leppard and Poison with special guest Joan Jett and the Blackhearts doesn’t hurt the bill. Plus, if you go through ticketmaster, tickets range from about 45 bucks to 180. That’s really fair for such a big bill. Which is honestly more like a mini festival.

Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger stated at the time of the show announcement,’ We’re pleased to welcome The Stadium Tour to Miller Park. This promises to be an unforgettable show headlined by four of the most successful bands in rock.’ The tour kicks off on July 7th.

Just released today. A new visual for their classic ‘Looks That Kill.’ Featuring scenes from ‘The Dirt.’
