Well, it’s that time of year when the all nominees for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame are finalized. And I gotta say, this year is so depressingly awful that it’s almost vomit inducing. This is the worst class of candidates to go in maybe ever!
I mean, most of them aren’t even in the ball park of rock. Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston!?!?!! C’mon!! It’s total bullshit that they got in and Soundgarden, Judas Priest and Dave Matthews Band don’t? I know when I think of ROCK!!, I think Whitney Houston and Notorious B.I.G.. What a freakin’ joke!
Of course, that’s what the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Shame is quickly becoming. Not that it was that great in the first. Sure, there are some worthy acts: The forefathers of rock like Muddy Waters and B.B. King. Along with notable hard rockers like Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath and Metallica. But those acts are becoming few and far between. And are quickly being replaced with pop and rap acts.
And a lot of those acts deserve to be in a hall of fame. But like I always say, they should have their own hall of fame. This year the Rock Hall could really take a que from the Metal Hall of Fame who are inducting Ratt and Don Dokken among others. Those are names that belong in the Rock Hall. Not Houston or Notorious B.I.G.. FRIGG OFF HALL OF SHAME!
