South Park Use Dying Fetus Track For New Band Crimson Dawn

This is just one of the best things South Park has ever done. As followers of the show may know, the Marsh family have been living on a weed farm for the past 10 episodes or so. And Stan does not like living there. He misses his friends and South Park. So what does he do? Form an extreme death metal band entitled Crimson Dawn. How amazing is that band name?

But it gets better, Matt Stone and Trey Parker decided to use a track from extreme death metal band Dying Fetus. And it fits perfectly. The track, entitled ‘Second Skin’ was featured as the song Crimson Sunrise played. And they played it at a South Park family picnic gathering. Absolutely hilarious!! But the best part is the line up of the band: Stan Marsh – Vocals, Kenny McKormick – Bass, Butters Stotch – Guitar & Clean Vocals (hahahahaha) and the best, Jimmy Vaulmer – Drums. Yup, Jimmy’s the drummer. That’s best part of the whole thing.

But Stone and Parker go beyond paying tribute to a mega heavy band. They even fit some commentary in the episode about the waning popularity of all heavy music. At the end of the ep the boys don’t get their bio pic. And they conclude that there’s no room in today’s society for heavy music. So what do they do? A Finger Band reunion!! Excellent commentary about music today.
