It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Disturbed’s iconic debut ‘The Sickness’ was released. The album was an instant smash. Differentiating itself from the rest of the Nu Metal crowd by injecting lots of old school metal tropes. And since, Disturbed as more or less been the biggest metal band to debut in the last 20 years.
And now they’re out celebrating all their success with a 20th anniversary tour of ‘The Sickness.’ Obviously there’s going to be heavy focus on the album. But also, expect the band to play a long set loaded with many of their kick ass tracks. And they’re also taking fellow post grunge legends Staind out with them. It’s looking like the ultimate post grunge/nu metal tour. Also opening is Bad Wolves.
Out of all the tours that are happening this year, this one might be the best bargain. Tickets aren’t super cheap or anything, but they’re a far cry from what some other package tours are asking for. Plus, Disturbed sounds great live. They play their songs perfectly. They deliver an excellent stage show. And they also display some unexpected jam chops. Staind is also a quality live act; Bad Wolves too. The tour kicks off on July 15 in Maryland Heights, MO and ends Sept 12 at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, WA. Get your tickets now, they’re sure to go fast.
Are Disturbed touring Queensland, Australia and if so where and when please.
