Holy 90’s industrial shock rock Batman! There’s a duet of pleasures coming our way. This summer Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are hitting the road together once again. To bring their unique brands of industrial shock rock/metal on what’s called the ‘Twins of Evil’ tour. This is yet another huge tour announcement. This year is full of some great tours coming up. It’s a big year for rock and metal so far.
Zombie and Mansion are touring under the Live Nation ‘Ticket to Rock’ program. Which is just freaking awesome. For those of you who don’t know Live Nation came up with a program to decrease ticket sales whilst keeping tours profitable for the performing artist. This program includes ticket bundles that start at 60$. This issue of course is that only certain venues are tying themselves to the ‘Ticket to Rock’ program. Which may limit access to some fans.
Zombie is out supporting his gigantic new vinyl box set. Which includes his entire discography. Yes, even the White Zombie records. And an unreleased live album of ‘Astro Creep 2000’ which also includes some live hits as well. Unfortunately as of right now the box set is only on vinyl which I think is really stupid. Hopefully he’ll release the set on i-tunes or something as well. I know vinyl is super trendy and cool right now. But not everyone has a turntable and super nice speakers to go with. Either way the box set looks incredible.
Manson is out supporting his most recent album ‘Heaven Upside Down’ which has released a few singles: ‘We Know Where You Fucking Live’ and ‘Kill4Me’ among them. His sound, going back to the more ‘Mechanical Animals’ era. But still keeping the growth of the past 20 years present. His sound has certainly matured a lot in the past 20 years.
Other bands are also taking part in the ‘Ticket to Rock’ program this summer. Including: Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Godsmack and many many more. So get your rocks out and get out there this summer. Put up the horns and rock out. Tour dates listed below for Manson/Zombie.
